Predict the Race is a free web app for running a Formula 1 prediction league with friends, colleagues or family. Every race weekend, everyone predicts the top 10 of qualifying and of the race, plus a few extra questions such as the winner and pole position. After each session the official results come in automatically and the app works out the points and the standings. You join with a league code, with no password and no payment.
Name your league, choose which questions count and share the code or the invite link in your group chat.
Before qualifying and before the race, put your top 10 on the starting grid. On sprint weekends the sprint is added.
After every session the app fetches the official result. Nobody has to keep score or type anything in.
See your points, the standings, the weekend winner and your head-to-head record against every friend right away.
For every driver in your top 10 you score points for how close you were to their real position. A near miss still earns something.

Example: you put a driver in P1 and they finish second. That is one place off, so 3 points. A perfect top 10 earns 50 points per session.

The league admin chooses what counts: Simple (just the two top 10s, 100 points per weekend), Classic (plus winner, pole and fastest lap, 145) or Advanced (everything, 202 per weekend plus sprint and season).
The official classification comes in via OpenF1, and post-race penalties are checked again afterwards.
Play a joker on a weekend and your points count double. Five per season by default, set by the league admin.
Next to the standings you see, friend by friend, who won more often. That is what the group chat is really about.
Whoever scores the most points in a weekend wins that weekend, even if they are behind in the season.
One tap prepares the weekend result as text for WhatsApp.
Subscribe to the calendar and every deadline shows up in your own calendar, with your own reminder.
With auto-fill switched on, anyone who submits nothing gets the championship order as their top 10 instead of zero.

Predict the Race has no ads, no analytics and no trackers, and sells nothing on. You join with a league code and a name; an email address is only needed if you want to take your account to another device. This page loads nothing from other websites.

Open the invite link you got from the league admin, or enter the six-character league code. Then pick your name, or add yourself as a new player.
No, and you do not need a password. If you want to play on more than one device, you can sign in later with Google or with a link in your email.
For every driver in your top 10 you get 5 points if they finish exactly in that position, 3 points if they are one place off and 1 point if they are two places off. Extra questions such as the winner and pole position add more points.
The calendar, the entry list and the results come automatically from OpenF1, a public source of Formula 1 data. After every qualifying and race the points are calculated by themselves.
The start of the session. The qualifying top 10 closes when qualifying starts, the race top 10 when the race starts.
Then you score nothing that weekend, unless the league admin has switched on auto-fill: then you get the championship order as your top 10. There is also a table without your worst weekends, so one missed race does not ruin your season.
A joker doubles all your points for one race weekend. You play it before the weekend starts; after that it is locked in. The league admin decides whether jokers are used and how many everyone gets.
